CALIFORNIA DERBY WEIGHTS Lavengro and Specify Assigned Top Weight of 122 Pounds Roy T. to Carry 114. SAN MATEO, Calif., April 4. Lavengro, the speedy Macaroo Stable sprinter, and Specify, Bert Baronis good three-year-old colt, are regarded as "all even" by the California Jockey Clubs board of handicappers. Each has been allotted 122 pounds in the ,000 added California Derby, which will be run next Saturday. It is difficult, at this time, to select the favorite, although Specify, on the strength of his splendid performances at Santa Anita, may be given the edge by the public. Roy T., third horse in line in the weight consignments, is deemed eight pounds inferior to Lavengro and Specify, for he has been allotted 114 pounds, while Rommy comes next with 111 pounds. Other weights are: Iron Hills, 110; Alaskan, 109; Cue Ball, 108; Grim Reaper, 106; Open Door, 105; Kumreigh, 104; Triplane, 101, and Wing and Wing and Step By, 100 each.
