1 LEXINGTON TURF NOTES I s ; John Theall, trainer for Joe W. Brown, prominent New Orleans patron, is here arranging the transfer of Jewell Dorsett and seven two-year-olds to Aqueduct.. The horses, which have been in charge of Jack Howard, will get away Sunday morning. Alex Gordon, who wintered in Hot Springs, arrived in Lexington Saturday and will remain until the close of the Keeneland meeting. Before departing for his home at Detroit, C. Hainesworth announced that it was necessary to destroy the two-year-old Miss Minstrel. The daughter of Royal Minstrel and Fretwork was purchased from C. V. Whitney last fall. She slipped on the ice while at Valley Grey Farm, at Matamora, Mich., during the winter, and failed to recover from the injuries she sustained. J. C. Milam, for many years one of the most prominent Kentucky horsemen, has no horses at Keeneland this spring, but intends to bring in several from his Merrick Place after the meeting, to prepare them for a campaign later in the season. Here to see his eight horses in training is C. C. Ainsworth, wealthy Detroit sportsman, who entered the sport last season. He purchased several yearlings from C. V. Whitney last fall to carry his Valley Grey Stable silks. His trainer is Frank Farro. Henry H. Knight has concluded a brief visit to his Almahurst Farm, returning to his Chicago home. He intends to come back to remain throughout the Keeneland meeting. .
