1 AGUA CALIENTE NOTES t and Brilliant King, a chestnut horse six years old by Brilliant Unfortunate Girl, died Thursday here at Agua Caliente from an abscessed brain. Veterinarian Dr. G. W. Foelschow attended the horse, but was unable to save him. Marcita, a seven-year-old brood mare, was purchased Saturday for her breeder, Charles Cooper, owner of the Rancho San Luis Rey at Bonsall, Calif. He formerly sold the mare to Mrs. Vera S. Bragg. J. P. Atkins then bought her from Mrs. Bragg and now she returns to her original home, where she will be bred to one of the sires standing at the Cooper ranch. W. E. Zeigler has turned the Zeigler horses over to his brother, Frank J. Zeigler, to train. W. E. Zeigler departed for the North, where he will take up some horses which have been turned out.
