Won driving; second and third the same. f COURT COUNSEL, going in his best form and away clearly, raced in close pursuit of ROSSMAN, moved into the lead entering the stretch and held on stoutly to withstand BATTLE HYMN. BATTLE HYMN was a stout factor in the early running and came determinedly under punishment in the closing drive. ROSE-PILLAR, kept on the inside from the start, tired in the last eighth when racing in the softer footing. BULLET B. had good speed from the start and was in the thick of contention all the way. REBELLIOUS, slow to settle in stride, closed with good speed. FOREVER GREEN was racing gamely in the final issue. LATEPASS raced wide and was never a threat. ROSSMAN showed good speed for a half mile, then quit. The others were outrun. PRATTLER was hustled hard after the break to gain a forward position, fenced nicely to displace SWIMALONG at the twelfth fence, responded to a strong drive and outstayed REDSHANK under severe punishment. REDSHANK, reserved for over a mile, raced to the leaders swiftly, engaged the winner nearing the last fence, but was not good enough on the flat. PROMOTER was forwardly placed and continued with good courage to the end. LITTLE WOMAN improved her position while racing wide and could -not threaten. FLYING FALCON tired after a mile and a half. PERSIAN PRINCE could not reach contention. SWIMALONG quit when caught and landed badly at several fences. DUN LUCKY raced in dull fashion. Overweight Persian Prince, 1 pounds. MASTER LAD, going in his best form, bettered his position on the outside, was carried wide by TEDDYS STAR when reaching the stretch, but finished with, good courage. TEDDYS STAR was ridden hard to race forwardly, rallied to pressure and Finished gamely after coming wide entering the stretch. PATSEY BEGONE displayed good speed while setting the pace, but flattened out suddenly in the last eighth after drawing clear. OVER YONDER closed strongly from a slow beginning. DIP showed a good effort and finished in tight quarters. SOME COUNT weaved between horses to close stoutly. GRAEME CRACKER tired in the last three-sixteenths. GURKHA quit. MY SHADOW improved position steadily and closed with good energy under punishment. NANCY REED worked her way forward on the inside arid finished resolutely from a slow beginning. MYSTERY MISS could not get clear after getting to the front and tired in the last quarter mile. OF COURSE was ridden hard, but failed to stay when the real test came. MACIE MARGARET made up ground. LICKETYSPLIT tired after three-eighths. COURSING was placed on the outside of the stalls for the start. ELLACAW broke Tery slowly. GENERAL MOWLEE lost ground. ASTER PRINCESS done early. TONI displaced SCARLET O. without effort, was. steadied until challenged, rallied gamely when shaken up," but was taken wide entering the stretch and faltered right at the end. PANALONG dropped far out of contention, settled in stride and finished with a bold rush. NEW DEAL was prominent while saving ground, saved ground when the pacemaker went wide, but tired right at the end. ARMY AND NAVY lacked early speed, then closed with a late rush.
