SIMMONS ASKS RELEASE WASHINGTON, D. C, Oct. 4. Al Simmons, Washington Senators outfielder, has stated that he intends seeking an unconditional release from the Capital City nine as a result of his quarrel with president Clark Griffith, who assessed a fine of 00 on him as a penalty for participating in an exchange of harsh words with three spectators during the first game of Sundays doubleheader. Simmons left for Chicago by automobile and further commented that he intended to take up the incident with commissioner Landis.
