Start bad and slow. Won driving; second and third the same. BEDIGHT, hustled from the start and steered to the inside when clear rounding the far turn, stood a long drive gamely and just lasted. KEEN GLOAMING, racing in his best form and never a great distance back, came out for the final drive and, under strong urging in the final drive, swerved to the inside in the; final strides, just failing to get up. YOUNG PLAYTIME, in close quarters in the opening quarter and on the outside for the stretch run, finished gamely. HE DEVIL forced the pace from the start, but tired in the last sixteenth. DOUBLE BRUSH had no mishaps. TRANSEN was away slowly and lacked speed. THE MAYOR ducked to the inside at the start and failed to reach the leaders when straightened. KAI-FINN quit. The latter, forced to work his way forward through the field, was under strong pressure in the drive and finished gamely. FORCEFUL, prominent from the start, tired in the last seventy yards. NEVER BLUE finished with a belated rush. TRACE BOY finished on the outside. CHAR-WITCH faltered in the final eighth. MARGIE G., hustled from the start, quit badly in the stretch. PEGGYS SUN, allowed to settle into his best stride in the first quarter, came around the leaders turning into the stretch and, establishing a commanding lead approaching the final eighth, was hard urged to withstand LEAP YEAR LADY. The latter, racing gamely from the start, came out for the final drive and was reaching the winner at the end. MANOR DELL responded to strong urging in the final stages and finished resolutely. DELAYNOT, racing between horses through the stretch drive, closed gamely. SNOW FLOWER raced on the outside throughout. BENA BANE had early speed. LAUS had no mishaps.
