SEABISCUIT GETS 134 POUNDS McLennan Piles Weight on Howard Star in Assignments for Bowie Handicap at Pimlico. BALTIMORE, Md., Nov. 9. Seabiscuit rrmst carry 134 pounds if he starts in the Bowie Handicap at Pimlico next Tuesday, so decreed Charles J. McLennan, racing secretary and handicapper of the Maryland Jockey Club, today. In last years running of the 0,000 added mile and five furlongs event, Seabiscuit was beaten a nose by Es-posa with 130 pounds on his back. Esposa carried 115 pounds last year and was assigned 117 pounds for this renewal. When advised of the weights today, Charles S. Howard had no comment to make, other than that Seabiscuit would not be shipped to Narragansett Park for the Rhode Island Handicap Saturday for which he had been allotted 130 pounds against 127 pounds on War Admiral. Whether Seabiscuit will accept his Bowie weight will not be determined for several days by Howard and trainer Tom Smith. The horse has not worked since his victory over War Admiral a week ago yesterday, but with the Pimlico track improving he is expected to undergo a trial soon. One of the reasons why it was decided not to ship Seabiscuit to Narragansett is the illness of jockey George Woolf, who is confined to his quarters by an attack of influenza.
