Members of the Shreveport Riding "and Polo Club who participated in a race for polo ponies a week ago and staged such a rousing contest, will meet again Thursday afternoon at the State Fair Grounds course to renew the duel for the riding supremacy of this section. A. field of ten equestrians, riding their own mounts will engage in a special contest at three furlongs at catch weights. Those scheduled to ride and their mounts as announced by racing secretary Emmett A. Hile-man include Major P. D. Pitts, on Loucile; James Pepper, on Jimmie; O. K. Hickman, on Man; Thad Adress, on Pete; Dr. A. V. Young, on Cutie; William Kuykendall, on Ned; E. Bernard Weiss, on Cuba; Leon OQuinn, on Lightning; Sam Brown, on Night Gown, and J. Harris, on Rabbit.
