I VOTE AGAINST GRETNA GREENS ELKTON, Md., Nov. 9 One of Americas most widely publicized "Gretna Greens" faced extinction today as the Maryland electorate approved a constitutional amendment compelling a forty-eight hour interim between purchase of a marriage license and the marriage ceremony. With- over half of all the ballots counted, the score on the amendment stood: For, 69,315; Against, 20,-017. Signature of the governor, which probably will be, delayed for several weeks, is necessary before Elktons numerous "Marrying Parsons" and notorious "Runaway Marriages" become a thing of the past.
