BOSTON, HAWKS TIE FOR LEAD BOSTON, Mass., Nov. 23. The Boston Bruins handed the New York Rangers their initial defeat in five games in the National Hockey League in the Boston Garden last night, turning back the visitors by a score of 4 to 2 before a crowd of 12,000. This triumph enabled the home team to tie the Chicago Black Hawks for first place.
