LONGDEN VERSUS ADAMS SAN BRUNO, Calif., Nov. 2-Johnny Longden, who started riding at Tanforan Wednesday, had 207 winners up to that time. "Shorty" Adams, leading rider of the West had 189. Adams led the American jockeys last year. Longden is out in front this season. The boys are of similar build, short and chunky. Both ride at 106 pounds. They are veterans. Adams rode 260 winners last year.
