CONN SMYTHES YEARLINGS NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 17. Six yearlings purchased during -the ahnual fall sales held in Lexington, Ky., by Conn Smythe, Canadian sportsman and. ice hockey impresario, arrived at the Fair Grounds in a shipment of eight, which also included the two-year-old Skating Fool and Please Doctor. They were unloaded by W. E. Coburn, trainer of the outfit. All of the yearlings in the string have had their names approved by the registrar of The Jockey Club and will be prepared for racing in 1939 at the Crescent City track, it was learned from trainer Coburn. The outfit, a promising-looking band, arc the get of Swift and Sure, Display, Morvich and Peter Hastings,, and all were broken before shipment from the Blue Grass State to New Orleans. The names and pedigrees of the young-! sters follow: Skating Mad, b. c, by Swift and Sure Mad Step. Skate Along, br. c, by Swift and Sure Tripalong. Dis Is It, b. c, by Display Imaginary. Marlboro Maid, b. f, by Morvich Mor-prin. Second Helping, br. f, by Swift and Sure Featherweight. Casino Pete, b. c, by Peter Hastings Gilded Casino. -4
