"We will have a banner meeting," Milton promises. "The horse situation is well in hand, reports to the contrary notwithstanding. Ive had to turn down some late requests for stable reservations, thats how anxious owners are to be represented in Cuba. We will have high grade horses and the competition will be of the very best." Louis Maul, vice-president of the association, trips in with the announcements that Freddy Hopkins, famous trainer, will introduce Buck Benny, now munching oats at Hialeah, during the meeting. The thoroughbred is owned by Jack Benny, famous movie and radio star. Nancy Patterson, famous society belle of Pittsburgh, has stabled four head. She is a licensed trainer. Originally Nancy was a show ring rider. A couple of years ago she purchased a stable of horses. She resides at Beechwood Farms, located at Sharpsburg, Pa.
