FIFTEEN IN VAN DUSEN STRING LEXINGTON, Ky., Dec. 27 Clyde Van Dusen, who was succeeded last week by Jimmy Smith as trainer of the Dixiana horses, has taken active charge of his own horses at Keeneland and by the first of the year the string will number fifteen, including a couple of daughters of Van Dusens stallion Torchilla which are the property of C. T. Fisher, owner of Dixiana. Van Dusen likes to train and race the get of Torchilla. They wear well and generally are consistent performers. Among the mares at Van Dusens Few Acres Farm, the home of Torchilla, is Betty Derr in foal now to Blue Larkspur.
