CHINA NOT SEEKING PEACE CHUNGKUNG, China, Dec. 27. Chinese Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek today personally denounced rumors that China is seeking to negotiate a truce to end the war with Japan. At his provisional capital of Chungkung the Chinese leader confirmed reports that Wang Ching Wei, vice-president of the Chinese War Council, is en route to Hong Kong, via French Indo-China, but declared Wang is making the trip purely for reasons of health.
