MILK, away -forwardly and going close to the leaders, responded gamely for the final drive, wore down DEAD READY and came out slowly at the finish. TZIGANE was in the thick of contention from the start and came willingly in the final drive on the inside. DEAD READY set a steady pace and held on gamely under punishment. MAEVIX was hustled all the way. FLY ME began slowly, then finished gamely. MR. BUDDY was unable to reach the leaders. TWO TRICKS broke well, but failed to stay in contention. HIGH TREASON could not keep up after being rushed off his feet. LETSELOPE was never a throat. REBEKAH raced forwardly for a half mile, then tired. LE MISERABLE was always outrun. ROYAL HOBO lost ground and lacked speed. He pulled up lame. NOEL H. was kept under steady pressure to keep within striking distance of the leaders and closed gamely, but was no throat to the winner. PORDINA offered early contention, but tired after being straightened into the stretch. RUSHAWAY had no early speed and failed to threaten while passing tiring horses. LASSATOR had a great deal of speed to race along with MIGHTY SWEET, crowded over on HI CLIFF on the turn for home when moving to the front, then was placed to a severe drive approaching the finish and was disqualified for the foul. HI CLIFF secured room on the inside to reach the leaders on the stretch turn, was blocked by LASSATOR, then recovered to finish determinedly on the outside. COUNT VALIANT weaved his way between horses and closed full of run. DONNA LEONA was always prominent, but could not stay when caught in tight quarters through the stretch. LADY INFINITE, breaking much slower than usual, made up much ground. SCOTCH HIGH also began slowly and failed to threaten. CHANCE STAR had no early speed. BLINI was held safe and lost ground. AFFIRMATION was badly roughed around in the first half mile. MIGHTY SWEET quit badly. GERMINIE II. showed early speed, then was crowded back badly when beginning to tire on the turn. NO SIR, sluggish for a half mile, settled in stride and finished full of run. RISSA was outrun in the early nart and failed to better her position. LITTLE SHAVER showed eood speed for five-eighths, then tired. BROWN MOTH broke slower than usual and was always outrun. QUEERPLAY was never dangerous. LONG WINDED had no early speed and could not menace when shaken up. TAUT was displaced midway of the back stretch, then fell back gradually. SPANISH MAMMON could not get into a forward position. PRINCE DEREK was rushed around his field to get into the lead inside the final eighth, but had too much use made of him and hung badly under severe punishment. ENDYMION was whipped to get into the lead, set a fast pace and held on well after saving much ground. BEWITCHED could not keep up when placed to a drive. WEARY FLOWER trailed all the way.
