WRIGHT HORSES IN STAKES Chicago Owner Has Eligibles in All but Kentucky Oaks. 1 JEasy Mon and Temulac Stables Kentucky i Derby Nominees Both Also Named for Derby Trial. LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 14. Warren Wrights Calumet Farm may be represented in all but one of the eight stakes to be run during the Churchill Downs spring meeting, starting on Saturday, April 29. The Chicago sportsman, who maintains one of the worlds finest breeding establishments near Lexington, nominated his principal older horses, including Bull Lea, winner of the 0,000 Widener Challenge Cup at Hialeah Park, and quite a few two-year-olds for various of the Downs features. The only stakes in which the Calumet Farm has no representative is the Kentucky Oaks for three-year-old fillies. The stables Derby eligibles are Easy Mon, and Temulac and, barring mishap, the former might be found among the starters in that famous race here on Saturday, May 6. Temulac, the highest priced yearling at the Saratoga Sales in 1937, and Easy Mon, also are named for the Derby Trial, the mile preparation race to be renewed on Tuesday, four days before the Classic. Easy Mon also is qualified to start in the Clark Handicap on the opening day of the meeting. For this race the stable also entered Count Morse, Ted Easy and Taxes, besides Bull Lea. These five horses also may be found on the roster of eligibles for the Churchill Downs Handicap and all of them except Taxes are qualified for the Kentucky Handicap. Six juvenile colts were named for the Bashford Manor Stakes and four two-year-old fillies were entered in the Debutante Stakes. The young colts are Bay Carse, Thats Me, Palsie, Haste On, Devilry, and Stand Alone while the fillies are Lisco, Santa .Vera, Dandy Gal and Boston Party. Trainer Frank Kearns plans to keep most of the horses at the farm during the Louisville meeting and in no time may have more than eight or ten on the grounds. Starters in the Stakes are to be returned to the farm after filling their engagements. Calumet Farm is equipped with excellent training facilities.
