PALMERA T., well handled and hustled from the start, was taken in hand rounding the turn, responded to slight urging when straightened out and shook off HI-WAVE inside the final sixteenth. The latter, racing on the outside of PALMERA T. from the start, raced slightly wide turning into the stretch and tired under pressure in the drive. JOHN OLDHAM, never a great distance back, could not reach the leaders under strong urging. SPANISH BELLE, slow to settle into stride, finished gamely. TERM-O-JEAN had no mishaps. SCAR-FINN lacked early speed. SOONY BOY, in hand on the turn, faltered in the final stages. CHARLEY HOSS could not reach the loaders under pressure. BLIND SALLY showed nothing. Won driving ; second and third the same. 1 ITO, much the best and in close quarters rounding the far turn, was steered between horses turning into the stretch, displayed keen energy under strong urging and was up in the final stride. NOGALO, moving to the leaders with a rush after three-eighths, was steered to the inside for the final drive, took command approaching the final eighth, but tired in the concluding strides. ROLLED NOTES, hustled from the start, had nothing left. MURIELLYNN, away slowly, raced wide for a half mile, moved to the leaders in the final eighth and was gaining slowly at the end. MARY SENATE lacked early speed and dosed with a rush. PHALAMO forced the pace from the start, was on the inside the last quarter, but swerved under pressure in the final sixteenth. SIS ROYAL tired. SKIPPY McGEE had early speed. BLACK NOSE failed to respond to strong urging. LIVE ONE was through after a quartpr. ARCTIC STAR, under restraint the first five-eighths, was steered to the outside for the stretch run, responded to strong pressure but could not menace the winner. HIDDENITE, under occasional pressure in the early stages, was placed under a strong drive the final quarter, but was not good enough. STAR BESS, hustled from the start and strongly ridden in the stretch run, tired in the last seventy yards. LASSIE FLO, best of the others, could not reach the leaders under pressure. CRULIA, never a great distance back and on the inside the entire trip, took a slight lead inside the final sixteenth, but could, not hold off the winner. RADIO CHARM showed the most speed without need of pressure, was placed under strong urging the last three-sixteenths, but gave way in the final seventy yards. MOUNTKALA, hustled from the start, came ou tslightly when turning into the stretch, but tired in the last eighth and lasted to dead heat MISS PITTYPAT "for fourth. MISS PITTYPAT, in close quarters soon after the start and slow to gain her best stride, finished gamely. LITTLE HIG lacked speed. GOSHEN, hustled throughout, faltered badly approaching the final eighth. NIGHT BANDIT and EBONY BOY had no mishaps. The latter, outrun in the early stages, was forced wide turning into the stretch and displayed good energy in the late stages. LITTLE KIEV forced the pace from the beginning, moved into command with a rush rounding the far turn, was strongly ridden in the final drive, but was not good enough. MISS ADAMS, racing forwardly under mild restraint, made a bold bid approaching the final eighth, but was not good enough. GENERAL BOY tired in the final eighth. STOUT • HEART tired badly. BARON, hustled into command, was under good rating and, under pressure in the final drive, held on gamely. REELAWAY saved ground, but failed to respond to strong urging in the final stages.
