FAMOUS BASEBALL STUNT PHILADELPHIA, Pa., May 9.— Old Man Gravity, who could make Walter Johnsons famous fast ball look like something tossed in a bean bag game, will attempt to pin back the ears of Phillies catchers tomorrow in a recurrence of a famous baseball stunt. From the statue of Billy Penn, atop Philadelphias city hall, newspapermen will toss baseballs to players 595 feet below. The latter will attempt to catch the "bullets." "Gabby" Street first did the trick in 1908, catching a ball thrown from the 550-foot Washington monument. Last August two members of the Cleveland Indians caught balls tossed from the 708-foot tower of the Cleveland Union Terminal.
