GRIEVE OVER BRUENS DEATH LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 9.— Old friends of Frank J. Bruen, who knew him when he was assistant to John Hackmeister at Douglas Park here and Latonia, and those later associated with him at Oriental Park, Hialeah Park and Tropical Park were grieved to learn of his untimely death last night. A native of St. Louis and married to a former Hopkinsville, Ky., girl, Mr. Bruen had legions of friends in Kentucky.
