FIELD FOR KENTUCKY OAKS Eleven or More Starters May Go , Postward on Saturday. Dinner Date Scheduled to Make Her Three-Year-Old Debut in Old Fixture — Anns Princess Entered. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 9— The field for the sixty-fifth running of the Kentucky Oaks, for three-year-old fillies, which will be offered as the feature at Churchill Downs Saturday, is fast taking shape. Present indications point to as many as eleven or more starters. Six leading eligibles were under colors in todays Indian Hills Purse and at least five others are being trained for the nine-furlong stake. The race is endowed with ,000 in added money. The Indian Hills Purse attracted Flying Lill, Elma H., Irvana, Rude Awakening, Burgoo Miss, Bellitas Babe and Unerring, the latter being withdrawn due to change in track conditions. Among the others expected to strive for the coveted honors is Milky Way Farms Dinner Date. The daughter of Stimulus and Heloise will be making her seasons debut. With victories in the Spinaway and Matron Stakes to her credit, Dinner Date was considered one of the leading juveniles of last year. She was second to Inscoelda inthc Arlington Lassie Stakes, third to Soldieretto and Grey Nurse in the Schuylerville Stakes and third to Big Hurry and Inscoelda in the Selima Stakes. INSCOELDA AN ABSENTEE. While Inscoelda was nominated for the Kentucky Oaks, she failed to round to the form that carried her to her many achievements last year and will await later competition. Dinner Date had a drill over the sloppy track at Churchill Downs this morning. She was accompanied for six furlongs by Banner Man as she reeled off a mile in 1:48. Anns Princess, unbeaten in three starts last year, breezed six furlongs in 1:19 and Chandera demonstrated in her mile trial Sunday that she is coming up to the race in fine style. She ran the distance in 1:43%. Spin On, winner of her last start, and Unerring, a stablemate, complete the probable starting field. The Oaks had its inception the same year as the Kentucky Derby and like it has not missed a renewal. Saturdays running is expected to produce another colorful chapter in the history of the race among whose winners were such splendid fillies as Princess Doreen, Rose of Sharon, Black Maria, Easter Stockings, Kings Daughter, Waterblos-som and Kathleen.
