1 PIMLICO TURF NOTES | $ € King Ranch stables Otra, second in the recent running of the Pimlico Oaks, was returned to New York by trainer Max Hirsch. Condition books embracing the first eight days of the meeting of the West Virginia Jockey Club, Inc., operating Wheeling Downs, for the period from May 27 to June 7, were distributed to horsemen in Maryland. The jumper Barrystar, owned by the Northwood Stable, was excused from filling his engagement in the Dulaney Valley Steeplechase Saturday for the reason that he suffered an injury to his hock. Selby Burch notified the management of the Maryland Jockey Club that he would ship Edward Friendlys good filly Jacola hero from New York to start in the Dixie Handicap Wednesday. George Odom arrived from New York Sunday with four horses, including the Disle candidate Sir Damion. J. E. Ryan shipped Battle Ground, Itsa Boy, The Dock n., Rhadames, Wellstepped and Faction Fighter to the Ryan farm in Unionville, Pa. They will be raced during the hunt meeting at Radner, Pa. The plater Guest of Honour II. is the latest addition to the schooling classes at Pimlico.
