MANTAGNA broke in motion to sprint into an easy lead, was steadied until reaching the stretch, drew into a long lead and had much in reserve at the end. MISS SELECTION was rated close up in the early running while saving ground, lost ground entering the stretch and could not get to the winner when shaken up. LADY DEMOCRAT raced as if sore and failed to rally when placed to a drive. BRIGHT GEM was unable to better her position and lost a lot of ground in the last five-sixteenths.
