Santers First Mount PAWTUCKET, R. I., April 30.— Apprentice Joseph Santer accepted the first mount of his career astride Showum in the I first race at Narragansett Wednesday. Santer, a native of New Bedford, Mass., has been galloping horses for two years. The lads papers are held by Miss S. L. Moreau. He can ride at 106 pounds and is 20 years old.
