BOLO TIE. alertly handled, took rommand soon after the start and maintained hi? advantage to the close under brisk urging. VALDINA LUSTER, hard hustled early to gain a contending position, came determinedly when put to punishment in the drive, but could not reach the winner. BURNING SANDS raced evenly throuehout and had no excuse. EPIDOWN, in tight quarters the first three-eighths, closed well when clear. WISE PAISANO tired alter racing forwardlv placed to the final eighth. GOOD GET gave a sharp. effort. EBONY EDGE was unable to keep up. PHILADELPHIA broke well, then dropped out of the runninsr. GAL ANN, away fast, opened up a commanding lead without need of strong urging, was under a strong hold rounding the turn, rallied when shaken up in the stretch and. steadied through the final eighth, had something left. STUDY PERIOD, under pressure after reaching the final five sixteenths, moved irp slightly when entering the stretch and, holding on well, stalled off NIGHT LADY. The latter, far back early, lost much ground in the last three eighths and, closing well, showed a good effort. FETCHET began sluggishly. VALDINA ADVICE, between horses early and hard ridden from the start, tired in the closing three sixteenths. The others had no mishaps. Scratched— 22700 React, 113. FAIR WEATHER ran into a long lead with a rush, continued strongly under stout restraint on the stretch turn and was shaken up in the last three sixteenths, but won handily. WISEASYOU saved ground and, holding on resolutely under vigorous riding in the last three-sixteenths, outstayed SANTA ROSA. The latter began fast, drifted out after reaching the turn and was inclined to swerve in the stretch. The others were outrun. Scratched— 223693Air Beauty, 112. JEAN FERRANTE took command under urging, crossed to the inside approaching the turn, bore out approaching the stretch, continued to drift out when shaking off SIS BAKER and, opening up a good lead in the last eighth and ridden out, had little left. SIS BAKER had speed, was eased back as the winner crossed over leaving the back stretch, had started up on the outside when JEAN FERRANTE bore out on the stretch turn and tired in the last eighth. FIRST PRIZE raced very wide early, but closed well through the stretch under only mild pressure. NEW GLORY gave a fairly even effort. LITTLE KISS raced in closest pursuit of the winner throughout, but failed to threaten when weakly handled in the closing stages. POLYMELIOR finished fast after starting slowly. HOUR AL was never dangerous and had no mishaps. HY-COP faltered after racing forwardly placed to the final eighth. THREE PERCENT was always outrun. ROYAL CRUSADER took command at once, set the pace to the stretch under occasional urging, .then withstood a brisk drive to hold AONBARR safe. The latter, taken back repeatedly through the first three-quarters, came out slightly entering the stretch and finished resolutely, but could not reach the winner. MOSCOW II. moved up fast on the outside after the opening quarter, came to the inside on the final turn, but could not retain his position under good handling. SWING AND SWAY was never dangerous and had no excuses. MEGGY tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. BOSS HOSS was done after the first half. Scratched— 21811 Inscolad, 103. TORCHY raced to the front soon after the start, set the pace to the stretch under good rating and withstood a vigorous drive to hold MAN ABOUT TOWN safe. The latter, never a great distance back, came to the inside entering the strech and finishd determinedly under punishment. KITCHE MANITOU, on the outside throughout, could not get to the leaders when hard urged in the drive. NEW DISCOVERY faltered after racing forwardly placed to the final eighth. STEM-WINDER secured a good position at once, took command near the upper turn when called upon and easily held his advantage to the close. SURGEON DICK went to the front early, then gave way to the winner, but held on well under good . urging. JIM LIPSCOMB, never far back, could not get to the leaders when hard urged in the iinal quarter. SUN BY came to the outside entering the stretch, but failed to better position thereafter under good handling. WAUCHULA could not threaten. GALVALE was always outrun. BOOKIE Mc had brief early speed.
