Kellogg and well ridden by M. L. Fallon, proved his ability to negotiate a sloppj track and easily won the featured Crystal Springs Farm Purse at Church ill Dowru today. Five lengths behind the rompinf winner, L. K. Haggin, Jr.s Playante took second, and she was another three length! in advance of A. B. Gays Woodford Lad, who finished third. Take Aways score in the top attraction was most popular with the good crowd attending, for he was installed an odds-on choice over the four other starters. Th« Kellogg colt returned his supporters .61 after stepping the route in l:003/5. A mishap marred the running when H. R. Fallon did not urge tha Kellogg colt, but his charge soon enjoyed a clear lead. The latter suffered some interference on the stretch turn when Ginomerica drifted out, but the way tha race was run it is doubtful if Woodford Lad could have reached the leaders. Take Away drew out steadily during tl» stretch run and had something left as ii crossed the final marker. The silks of the locally-owned Brow*. Sun Risk had to be much the best of her company, for she broke slowly and was forced to make up much ground through the first five furlongs.
