Kentucky News and Notes CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 14. Milton Reiser is taking only the horse, Tomochichi, to Chicago. The horses. Sergeant Bill, Justice M., Dog House, Patrol Flight and Golden Trumpet, all owned by Huntley and Sher, were sent to Detroit where they will be taken over by L. H. Silver. Euall Wyatt will ship his stable to the Detroit Fair Grounds after the close of the current Downs meeting. Jockey Johnny Adams, contract rider for the establishment, will accompany the shipment to the Motor City track. Dominick Yuse, San Antonia, Texas, restaurateur, returned to the Lone Star State after witnessing the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks renewals. Jockey Jim McCoy will accompany trainer Harold Tinkers public stable to Detroit. v — ■ T9 Lane Bridgford will transfer W. Bakers Stem-Winder, Blue Stem Stables Icy Run and Sarong, to the Detroit Fair Grounds for the impending meeting there, following the close at Churchill Downs Saturday. William Stock plans to transfer his public stable to Fairmount Park this week. Jockey Robert Montgomery, contract rider for the establishment, will accompany the shipment to the Mound City track. Rude Awakening, bred and raced by Dr. Charles E. Hagyard, produced her first foal recently at the Hagyard farm. It is a gray colt by Mahmoud. This year Rude Awakening is being mated with Bull Dog. Bob Gilmore, secretary-treasurer of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association, arrived from Chicago. He will be here for several days, working in the interest of the organization he represents. Jockey A. Snider will leave for Detroit at the close of the current Downs meeting and, upon arrival there, will report to the M. Wexler stable. Jockey Eddie Tucker will accompany the Bing Crosby stable contingent to the Detroit Fair Grounds at the conclusion of the Churchill Downs meeting. James T. Clark, member of the official staff at Churchill Downs, left for Chicago to take up his duties at Lincoln Fields. Ray Hoertz, timer at the Derby oval, is I serving in the placing udges stand during Clarks absence. Another to head for New York this week was Emerson Davis, trainer of the F. J. ! Heller horses. The thoroughbreds he shipped were Lassagaria, Gradea and Ox-heart. Jack London, well-known turf correspondent, will wind up his duties at Churchill Downs Friday and depart for I Detroit to cover the racing at the Motor City course. j I Harold Tinker will ship his stable to Detroit immediately after the close of the Churchill Downs session. Jockey Jimmy McCoy will accompany the establishment to the Motor City course. Arthur Kuprion, photo-finish technician at all American Turf Association tracks, ! will leave the Downs tate Saturday for I Lincoln Fields. Walter Grater, veteran turfman, will ship the locally-owned H. M. Walker stable to Detroit Saturday. Grater is a regular at" the Michigan oval. Paul Meredith announced that he would send the 12 horses he is conditioning here for the R C Stable to Chicago Saturday. James Lewis, member of the Churchill Downs mutuel staff, will leave for Detroit at the close of the current meeting, to resume his duties with the Motor City tracks wagering division. The two-year-old, Hollyam, purchased by B. G. Perry recently, was turned over to Nick Burger to condition. Perry is a local sportsman. S. Bryant Ott will transfer his 12-horse stable to Lincoln Fields tomorrow. . The matrons of Calumet Farm now number 47. Sixteen were stake winners.
