Crete Stakes Deadline CRETE, 111., May 14.— Officials of the Lincoln Fields Jockey Club today issued a last call for nominations for five stakes to be run during the 30-day meeting opening here next Monday. Entries close tomorrow. The Lincoln Fields stakes are the Crete Handicap at six furlongs for three-year-olds and upward, the Francis S. Peabody Memorial Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth for three -year -olds and upward, the Joliet Stakes at five furlongs for two-year-olds, the La Salle Handicap at a mile and three-sixteenths for three-year-olds and upward and the Lincoln Handicap at a mile and a quarter for three-year-olds and upward. Each carries ,000 in added money and they will be run on each of the five Saturdays of the meeting. Entries dated before midnight tomorrow can be mailed either to the track or at Lincoln Fields downtown Chicago headquarters in the Drake Hotel.
