DARK ACE, in hand while following tlose up, went to the front without effort, moved clear and opened up a wide lead nearing the end. STAR CHARTER, allowed to settle in stride in the first three-quarters, worked his way up gamely, but was no match for the winner. DANZIG, starting slowly, circled his field and finished gamely. NETTA WOOD was held safely. JEAN C. labored in the footing and was eased up. 1NNOVIA was displaced early and quit. PETEE LAD was never a threat.
