UNCLE JULY closed resolutely in the stretch and, wearing down YOUNG EBONY, won going away. YOUNG EBONY set a fast early pace and held the others safe. CHILDHOOD raced in close quarters on the inside in the first half mile, then came strongly on the outside when clear in the stretch. MIOLA was well up throughout and saved ground in the run home. RICH HILL displayed early speed, but tired. FIRST DIVISION finished stoutly. APOLLYON began slowiv and was never prominent. CRIMSON worked way up on the outside, came strongly in the stretch and outgamed HEEL DUST in the final drive. The latter moved up on the outside at the far turn, secured the lead when midway of the stretch, but failed to withstand the winners challenge. SAN DIEQUITO went into the lead after a half, but tired in the final eighth. BOB HI closed a wide gap and finished strongly. CHARMAC was never far back and held on fairly well. BUSBY took command midway of the back stretch and, displaying the most speed thereafter, held the race safe all during the run home. CHIEFJEAN raced forwardly throughout and was easily best of the others. SLIGHT ERROR closed much ground, working way up on the outside and finished strongly. VIGNETTE raced forwardly and had no excuses. DISTRIBUTE moved up on the inside rounding the far* turn, reached contention, but tired in the stretch. CAVE HILL showed early speed, but tired badly.
