Won driving; second and third the same. HIGHBOROUGH. on the inside, came into interference going to the far turn and responded when urged, then disposed of BIDDER and out-finished ERIC KNIGHT. The latter was a prominent factor from the start and held on well to the end. LADY BART dropped back after the break, then came again at the finish. MERVYN LE ROY was slow to begin, but lost ground entering the stretch. ANYTIME was well up and had no mishaps. BATTER UP was on the inside and raced well. BELL BOTTOM had no mishaps. BIDDER had early speed. MIRANDA Z. began slowly. GUILE lacked early speed. NIGHT HERON was rated along under -steady restraint and moved up to assume command after taking the seventh fence, then drew away. MUFFLED DRUMS jumped well and was a prominent factor throughout. EPINDEL was under steady restraint the first turn of the field and moved up with a rush on the inside, then hung at the finish. HIMMEL ran in spots, but finished well. REDTHORN was under snug restraint on the inside in the early running and, rounding the far turn, was sent to the outside, was under pressure in the stretch run, wore down VAIN PRINCE and was drawing away. VAIN PRINCE showed speed while saving ground and held on with good courage to the end. BLUE GINO was well up throughout and then outlasted CADUCEUS in the final strides. The latter was sent to the outside for the stretch run and made up some ground. OVER LIMIT was outrun. STAR TIMBER had no mishaps. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-8 MILES. BILLY O. was under restraint while saving ground and assumed command in the stretch, disposed of the leaders and drew away. GENERAL MOWLEE was a prominent factor from the start and held on well. DUSKY FOX was sent to the outside for the stretch run. and outlasted PRESENT ARMS. The latter, a trailer to the stretch turn, came with a belated rush on the outside. IRISH ECHO forced the pace and then faltered. YANKEE PARTY had no mishaps. PEEP SHOW showed speed and then quit. WHO CALLS had no mishaps.
