PYMO, slow to settle in stride, worked his way forward on the outside when moving forward, circled around the leaders and finished with a rush to get up in the last seventy yards. LERLIN, unable to keep up early, improved his position gamely in the drive while drifting out and outlasted REAL BOY. The latter, close up early, stole through on the inside to take the lead, but tired under punishment in the drive. GRADATIM was prominent under a stout drive. VANTRYST gained slowly in the late stages. HIGH BUD and JOE SMOKY were used up setting the pace. DOCTORS NURSE tired early. SUN SALVATOR sprinted into a clear lead, was steadied until reaching the final turn, rallied to light urging in the drive and drew clear. LITTLE MOWLEE, nearest to the winner at all times, could not stay for the drive, yet held bn stoutly to outstay TRYSAK. The latter, tardy at the break, improved his position readily when in stride and finished with a rush. KISSIN KID weaved between horses when bettering his position. TOWN CAR tired and may have been short. AUTOGO had no mishaps. CHARMFUL fell back quickly after having early speed. BLUE "PRELUDE showed little. DISPURR, forced wide on the first turn, went up stoutly to overhaul the leaders midway of the back stretch, opened up a wide lead, then was hustled to the end. FAIR HAIRED, sluggish in the first quarter, was blocked when attempting to get through on the inside nearing the half-mile ground, recovered and finished with good speed. SUEGALE, in tight quarters and weakly handled, came gamely in the last stages. SEPLIN was never a threat. CAROLYN T. began tiring after three-eighths. MISS DEFIANCE flashed speed early. CARMADA was always held safe. GOODWINE was racing forwardly when she was caught in a jam at the half-mile mark and fell. VESTALE, in hand for five-eighths and rating close to the leaders, displaced BAR SHIP and opened up a wide lead and held sway to the end. SOME GROUCHER, allowed to wait back of the pace, rallied when shaken up, but could not reach the winner. BAR SHIP, taken into a short lead after the break, shook off MUD DOBBER, but tired fast when challenged. WEST SEA began slowly, then passed tiring horses. MUD DOBBER was prominent for three-quarters. ACTRESS was never dangerous. CHANNING had no excuse. ACE CALL went wide and tired early. BELFONDS BOY was steadied while close up on the inside from the start, was taken out for racing room leaving the back stretch, responded gamely when shaken up and wore down MALVOIS in the final seventy yards. MALVOIS was steadied closest to GLITTER GIRLS pace in the early stages and took command when asked, but could not resist the winner while under strong handline. GLITTER GIRL was hustled to the front going to the first turn and set a good pace, but tired gradually in the stretch. BABY BOY was off poorly, went into contention willingly and was unable to improve his position thereafter. NAVIGATION was hard ridden and had no excuses. THE SHEIK was rushed early while well placed and tired. ALFHANGRIER and TIME NETTA was outrun. RED WRACK, in the thick of contention early, went to the lead after a half, shook off REMOLEE and was urged hard to stall off PRINCE GOVANS in the drive. The latter, sent to the outside when reaching the back stretch, worked his way forward stoutly and continued well in the closing test. ROYAL BUSINESS, away fast, then allowed to drop out of contention, went up between horses leaving the back stretch, then came to the outside in the stretch run. DON ORLAN was stoutly handled and showed a good effort. REMOLEE tired after five-eighths. GOLDEN STORY was outrun. CANIGO had no mishaps. PURPLE DAWN sprinted into an easy lead, was rated under courage and gave way in the drive. WORTHOWNING, having good speed to race forwardly, tired in the last quarter.
