ECHO BEACH swerved at the break and, rated to the stretch, held on courageously under pressure thereafter. DARBY DULUTH held sway easily to the last quarter, then continued well to the last furlong, then faltered. SPRING DUN, in close quarters early, weakened when ROSE CAVE came over in the stretch. CODE MENTOR began slowly and bore in through the stretch. GUY HOTTEL showed little. TIME UP had no mishap. Overweight— Echo Beach, 2 pounds; Darby Duluth, 2; Spring Dun, 3; Guy Hottel, 24.
