BEEDEE was hustled into command after the beginning and was steadied along, bore out entering the stretch, then, under pressure, held QUEENS CHANCE. The latter moved up fast rounding the stretch turn, was forced wide by the winner and hung near-ing the finish. FIGHTING LADY, on the inside early, was eased toward the outside and made up some ground. BENIGN was taken under restraint when outrun, moved up on the outside entering the stretch, then faltered. LADYS ACE raced well on the extreme outside. FRIENDLY DON tired under urging. BAREFOOT LAD began slowly. MR. JOHN had a flash of early speed. STROLLING ON jumped well and was steadied along, moved up when urged and assumed command, then responded to urging in the final drive to outfinish SIR BLUESTEEL. The latter was outrun early, improved his position in the final half mile and closed fast on the inside. FREDERIC II showed speed on the flat, but bobbled at several of his fences, then tired. ARMED was taken under snug restraint early, but not far from the pace, found clear passage rounding the stretch turn and slipped through between the leaders, then drew away to finish with speed in reserve. REPLY PAID was a trailer early, worked his way up steadily and finished with a rush to outlast STYMIE. The latter, outrun to the far turn, began to improve his position, came to the outside and closed willingly. RICHMOND JAC was steadied along and entering the stretch went through on the inside to hold on well. FIGHTING STEP was steadied along in front, but faltered in the late stages. BOUNDING HOME was close up from the beginning, but hung under pressure. TRYMENOW loomed with a rush rounding to the stretch turn, but faltered. FIRST FIDDLE made a determined move rounding the far turn, then flattened out. SIRDE could not keep up. POLYNESIAN and PUKKA GIN quit badly. The latter, a prominent factor all the way, assumed command in the stretch, but could not stave off the winner MISLEADER was taken under restraint in the early running, came to the outside for the stretch run and made up some ground. DARBY DAMOUR had early speed, then quit. WINDOW SHOPPER showed an even effort.2 MEDAL swerved in the stretch run. LEE CIRCLE propped at the start. BUDDIE BONES had no mishap.
