Gooseberry Breaks Leg HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., May 30.— The plater Gooseberry, who was pulled up during the running of the first race yesterday, sustained a broken leg and was destroyed. Ovned by F. Culotta, the plater, who was running with a tag of ,500, was one of the best bred horses in training.
