FORT VANCOUVER, a sharp factor from the beginning, took command entering the stretch and withstood a brisk drive to hold ZIG ZAG safe. The latter, under a poorly judged ride, came to the outside entering the stretch and finished fast on his own courage. PASSAGEWAY, never far back, held on willingly to the last furlong, then weakened. BETTY GRABLE began fast, then raced evenly thereafter. SEALANE could not better his position under brisk handling. BESSIE VANCE assumed command early and made the pace to the stretch, then gave way. SAY YES began sluggishly. MY BLITZEN was outrun. KINGSTONE could not keep up. Overweight— Fort Vancouver, 1 pound. BEN GRAY assumed command early, made the pace under occasional urging to the stretch, then withstood a sharp drive to hold VICTORY BLUE safe. The latter, a keen factor from the beginning, was forced wide entering the stretch, then finished strongly when straightened up. SIN LEE, never far back and on the inside, held on willingly in a good effort. GOLD TINT failed to keep up after breaking alertly, held a good position when settled for the drive, but could not threaten the leaders when vigorously ridden. BONHEUR lacked early speed, but finished fast. HAPPY JOAN began slowly. BIG MEAL was outrun. LEGAL EAGLE gave way after racing prominently to the stretch. Won easily; second and third driving. MARCAP, never far back, came to the outside entering the stretch and. after wearing down CREDIT MAN, easily held AUDREY M. safe. The latter, on the inside from the outset, held on willingly in a good effort, but was unable to threaten the winner. FANNIE MAC, outrun to the stretch, came out for the drive and closed fast under punishment. CREDIT MAN assumed command early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then fell very lame, breaking down before being pulled up. HIGH BROW, far back to the stretch, closed fast on the outside. FAIRY TIME was outrun. QUATRE STAR began fast, but could not keep up. SAMBO gave way after racing well to the stretch. Credit Man claimed by Donna-Ray Stable. FOURTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. TIGER EXPRESS improved his position approaching the stretch, responded readily when hard ridden and, after wearing down JOYCE W.. held BEAUTICIAN safe. The latter, never far back, was forced wide on the final turn, then finished fast when straightened up. JOYCE W. went to the front at the start, made the pace to the final furlong, then weakened. PRANCING TED, practically eliminated at the start, was hustled fast during the Initial quarter, then had nothing left when set down entering the stretch. MISS WALKER was away slowly and never threatened. CASTLE HEIGHTS began fast, but could not keep up. Overweight— Tiger Express. 2 pounds: Beautician. 2; Joyce W.. 4; Castle Heights. 3. RIP AWAY, slow to begin and far back to the stretch, came between horses on the final turn and, responding readily when ridden out, disposed of the leaders to win going away. ANNIES REPLY worked her way forward steadily and reached the lead when settled for the drive, but was not good enough for the winner. ROYAL RED raced evenly without mishap and gave a good effort. BOY-PLIN, slow to begin, improved his position steadily under good handling and finished fast under punishment. JOHN Q. PUBLIC forced the pace to the final furlong, then weakened. GYPSTER was outrun. BONEVA M. was never a serious threat. INCRESCENT had early speed, but failed to stay. ANTHEM assumed command early and made the pace to the stretch, then weakened. VICE ADMIRAL could not keep up. The latter improved his position steadily to the final quarter, drifted out badly during the drive and could not menace the winner, although easily best of the others. WOW, outrun during the first half mile, closed fast under punishment, giving a good effort. SPIRSILLA began fast and failed to stay after displaying early speed. HIGH EGO, away slowly, was hustled fast to reach serious contention and tired badly from his early effort. MRS. VALENTI could not keep up. Scratched— 98024 Wee Admiral, 120. SIR SPRITE was taken back after breaking alertly, worked his way forward steadily under handling to the stretch, responded to punishment to assume command and held DARBY DIMOUT safe. The latter, never far back and saving ground from the beginning, came willingly when set down for the drive, but could not reach the winner. TOP REWARD, far back and outrun to the stretch, finished fast on the outside. WISE PAISANO moved up boldly approaching the stretch and held on well to the last furlong, then weakened. AIR SAILOR went to the front at once, made the pace to the final quarter under occasional urging, but failed to stay when roused for the drive, appearing to race as if short. TIGER MAN lacked early speed, but was going stoutly at the finish. UNCONDITIONAL began well, but was forced to take up when caught in close quarters on the first turn and failed to recover.
