Lord Boswell Draws 128 Pounds For Yankee Handicap at Suffolk Pegged Four Over Pellicle i For 5,000 Fixture to Be Run Week From Tomorrow SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 30. — The Maine Chance Farms Lord Boswell, an outstanding candidate for Americas turf classics, has been assigned top weight of 128 pounds for the tenth running of the 5,000 added Yankee Handicap, mile and three -sixteenths three-year-old feature of the Suffolk Downs meeting which will be run on Saturday, June 8. This is four pounds more than racing secretary John P. Turner has asked Hal Price Headleys Pellicle, recent winner of the Providence Stakes at Narragansett Park, to carry, which means that Pellicle is asked to carry four pounds more than he did in his victory at the Rhode Island track. The Sir Damion gelding was shipped back to New York from Narragansett Park after that race, but may be returned here for this engagement. Other assignments of interest are the 122 pounds which the Maine Chance Farms Knockdown is asked to carry, the 120 pounds assigned Fred Wyses Air Rate; the Maine Chance Farms Colony Boys 119-pound impost, and Jay Paleys Inrocs 118 pounds. Heres How Gets In Lightly Of those in this area who have either been racing or training here, Fred Wyses Heres How, conqueror of Morris Wexlers Lady Gunner in New England last year, gets in with 109 pounds. The Hard Tack filly has not started in New England as yet, but she was tested against the best of her class in Kentucky this spring. Her stablemate, Air Rate, is on the grounds and in training. The Yankee has been one of the most popular stakes on the Suffolk Downs program since its inaugural in 1935. It has been won in the past by such good ones as Challedon, Our Boots and Shut Out.
