NOTFORME, forwardly placed while on the outside on the backstretch, moved into command on the turn and drew out to win easily. SNAPPY VERSE moved into closer contention on the inside on the backstretch, continued to save ground improving his position on the tur, clsed stoutly, but was no match for the winner. ECOMODATE had good early speed to take command immediately after the start, but weakened under pressure. FLY WHISK raced evenly and forwardly, but could not engage the leaders. BONA DEA closed stoutly. G00DF0RME challenged weakly on the turn, but flattened out. FANNIE CAC could not keep up. Bona Dea claimed by A. Wellman. Fly Whisk claimed by V. Cicero Sr,. MISS PIETY, under restraint in a contending position from the start, saved ground on the turn, secured room on the inside to move to the front in the stretch and drew out under mild urging. MY MARGIE, closest to the pace of BULL DOG MISS and on the outside in the early racing, continued gamely on the outside through the stretch, finished stoutly, but could not threaten the winner. BULL DOG MISS was sent to the front a once, went slightly wide entering the stretch and weakened under pressure. REGULARITY finished well after being slow to settle into stride. BROKERS TRIP, on the outside all the way, could not keep up. Daily Double on the First and Second Races Paid 1.50. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. First of All, July 25, 1942— 1:09%— 3-111. DOT O DASH was under restraint closest to the early pace, took command easily when called upon in the stretc hand drew out to win with something in reserve. GRAND FLASH, very slow to settle into stride, moved into closer contention between horses on the backstretch, swung to the outside for the drive and finished well. MANDAS FIRST had speed to open up a clear lead, saved ground, but flattened out under pressure. ASTOUND raced evenly and forward and held on stubbornly. CHARLES BRYCE was unable to keep up.
