OBEROD, steadied while lacking speed early, closed with a rush. ANNIEOPSQUOTCH raced evenly throughout. EXPERIMENT closed willingly. CALIPER passed tired horses. ARDEN LAD followed the two leaders to the stretch, responded well to take command in the early stretch, then was unable to resist the winner. SUNSET BAY rallied mildly in the stretch run. LITTLE BUNNY forged to the front on the turn, held on well, but was no match. SIR ECHO continued on well through the stretch, but made up no ground. SEA PILOT raced evenly. TAP LIGHTLY tired after threatening on the turn. EASY CHAIR was never a serious threat. BLACK GRIP had good speed from the gate, but was through early. NEW HOUR folded up badly in the final furlong. BEAUS NURSE lacked speed early and was forced to race very wide while improving her position ART BROWN loomed dangerously when he moved through on the inside in the stretch, then failed to rally. PIQUANT weakened gradually. OBALLADIER showed a good race in her first start for more than a year. BLUE CROSS was not good enough. SIXTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. WAR TROPHY was taken under stout restraint immediately after the start, was content to follow the pace even after BRIGHT REMARK moved up him, responded readily when roused in the stretch and drew clear without need of punishment. ZAX set the pace under well-judged handling, then held on tenaciously, but was no match for the winner BRIGHT REMARK moved rather early to challenge for the lead along the backstretch and was never able to displace ZAX.
