Coronation Cup to Ardan EPSOM, England, June 6. — Marcel Boussacs French-owned five-year-old Ardan, rated best of his age in France, made a successful crossing of the channel to win the ,000 Coronation Cup, run over the Derby course, one and one-half miles here this afternoon. Ardan, son of the French "wonder horse," Pharis, won easily by one length from the Kings four-year-old colt, Rising Light, with Triumvir third and last, four lengths farther away. Ardan, ridden by Charlie Elliott, started 5 to 6 favorite, with Rising Light 5 to 4 against. Triumvir started at 100 to 7. Rising Light made the running until 300 yards from home, when Ardan challenged.
