Dockstader, who was withdrawn from the Sussex Handicap when he came up with a slightly filled right foreleg, left for Belmont Park, along with Trapeze and Midnight Oil. Johnny Shanks, who served as outrider here, and who was injured last week in a training mishap, plans to resume activity Tuesday. Eddie Benham, Shanks coworker, has had another setback following his appendectomy and will be on the side-lines longer than had first been predicted. The Bobanet Stables shipment, includ-8 ing Marine Victory, Ariel Song, Bobanet and others, left for Chicago over the week-12 end. Trainer Dunne supervised the ship- ping and will handle the main division in the West, while J. H. Pierce will look after the contingent left here. Tedious Miss is way out in front in the battle for the extra ,500 that goes to the winner of the Montchainn Handicap series. The five-year-old daughter of Tedious has piled up 42 points. Cannikin and Stingprice are tied for second with 18 points each while Flange and Ballast have six each. Mrs. E. duPont Weirs good jumper, Burma Road, arrived from Belmont Park today. The seven-year-old gelding is eligible for both the Georgetown and Indian River Steeplechase Handicaps. Apprentice William Cherry, on vacation at his Saratoga Springs home, returned to Delaware Park and got back into action Tuesday. Apprentice Daniel Perlsweig, who rode in the race for maiden jockeys here last week, has been out of the Navy only two weeks. Prior to his service aboard the TJ. S. S. Tucson, Perlsweig had started riding at Delaware Park in 1944. In fact he broke his riding maiden on a horse named Signal Corps but the horse was disqualified and so Danny, still has to ride his first official winner. Natchez, winner of the Kent Stakes 10 days ago and just prior to that an impressive second to Assault in the Belmont Stakes, will start in Saturdays Diamond State Stakes. As yet no rider has been picked to handle the Jeffords colorbearer. Shipments over the week-end back to New York included Gallorette and New Challenge of the W. L. Brann stable and Stymie and Playful Pal trained by Hirsch Jacobs. Mrs. E. duPont Weirs Royal Governor, one of the best juvenile prospects uncovered at the current meeting, has returned to Delaware Park from the farm where he was shipped last week after a slight indisposition.
