Field of Seven Predicted For Betsy Ross at Suffolk . SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 19. As the field now shapes up for the ninth running of the 0,000 Betsy Ross Stakes, five and a half furlongs test for juveniles fillies which will feature the card here on Saturday, racing secretary John P. Turner Sr. expects at least seven interests to go to the post in that event. C. V. Whitneys Mother, a strawberry roan daughter of Mahmoud Fuss Budget, was an arrival this morning, having been shipped up to fill her engagement in that event. Word was also received that Mrs. Harris Browns Rosalee was also being sent up for the Betsy Ross. The brown filly is a maiden, but she is a highly regarded miss and her connections had hoped that she would be able to run in a maiden event before facing the field in the stake. However, that will not be possible and that daughter of Roman Santa Luna will be tackling her assignment without any such tightener. Others expected to go include Circle M. Ranchs Sugar Pill, Glenwood Farms Fair Cross, Longchamps Farms Valiente, Reynolds Brothers Miss Marietta and Parzaille and Sarnos Wise Brunette. The last three were named for the fourth race today and some line on what can be expected of them in the Betsy Ross can be drawn from their performances in that event.
