Stalls Now Being Allotted For Atlantic City Meeting ATLANTIC CITY, N. J., June 20. The Stall Committee of the Atlantic City Racing Association is now engaged in allotting stalls for the inaugural meeting scheduled to open July 22. Applications for over 3,000 stalls have been received. With between 800 and 850 stalls to be assigned, the committee is wrestling with a tough problem, wishing to accommodate as many horsemen as possible. Many stables will be required to van racers to the beautiful new seashore course from Garden State Park and other places outside the grounds. The association has set aside a receiving barn where horses shipped in for the 13 rich stakes will be kept until time to be saddled. Racing secretary Charles McLennan revealed notices of granting of stalls will be sent out shortly and warned horsemen not to ship horses at any time unless their applications have been approved.
