Bel Reigh in Popular Score at Monmouth MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 20. Mrs. Tilyou Christophers Bel Reigh scored a vastly popular victory in the featured Deal Purse here today, the bay son of Bel Aethel Polly Reigh leading from start to finish for a mile and a sixteenth to be timed in 1:47. Shouldering 115 poundr including apprentice R. L. Baird, Bel Reigh reached the finish four lengths clear of Ed-Ell Stables Mister Chat, who was a length and a quarter before P. Covinas Signal Corps. Only six competed for the ,500 purse. A combination of dreary, cool weather and small fields for the eight events, combined to hold attendance down to a disappointing throng of 6,957. Bel Reigh paid .80.
