AMPLE REWARD, forwardly placed" for a half mile, responded to, pressure while moving up on the outside and wore down J. J. LYNCH inside the final sixteenth. The latter took command when NOT TOMORROW weakened, drew out, saved ground and just failed to last. FIRST COMMAND was well placed from the beginning and had no excuse. MR. JINX closed fast on the inside from a slow beginning. BLUE WISE was unable to reach the leaders. CAVENTURE loomed as a threat nearing the furlong pole, then flattened out. CZECH LASS had no mishap. SUN GALOMAR passed tiring horses. NOT TOMORROW quit. ROUGHAGE showed nothing and pulled up very lame. FEARLESS, well placed on the outside and close to the pace, responded to stout handling to close fast through the stretch and outfinished BRAS TEDDY. The latter showed good speed in setting the early pace, lost the lead to SISTER G. on the far turn and saved ground, then came again and just failed to last. SISTER G. was sent up fast after the first quarter to assume command and held on well to the final sixteenth, then faltered. FLYING JIM made up ground between horses. MUG finished fast on the outside from a sluggish start. GLADAGAL was unable to reach the leaders under pressure and weakened in the stretch. GREEN GARDEN could not keep up. EVELYN W. showed nothing. RISKOLATER, well handled when outrun in the first quarter, moved into contention under light urging, came between the leaders at the sixteenth post and was drawing out at the end. OIDENASAI assumed command in the first quarter, drew clear while saving ground, held on determinedly when challenged by GOOD SWEEP, but faltered in the final seventy yards. GOOD SWEEP was hustled from the start, gained a good position on the outside, moved to the leaders nearing the furlong post, then weakened under pressure. SUN DOGGIE was unable to improve under steady urging. AGHADEE closed willingly through the stretch. AMITA was unable to reach the leaders under intermittent pressure. SILVER SWEEP rallied mildly on the turn, then faltered. CHAITHAN was never prominent ENAK showed nothing. FIGHTING FLAG was unable to keep up. PEACE TERMS quit after showing keen early speed. CREEPIN, kept close to the early pace, moved to the front when ready, then drew out to win as the rider pleased. COUNTY CORK was taken back off the pace going to the first turn, was steadied along to the head of the stretch, then closed willingly under steady urging. WISE TIMMIE, allowed to settle in best stride when outrun, closed with good energy when put to a drive, but was unable to menace the first two. NEVERFRET broke alertly, was taken back off the pace, rallied nearing the furlong pole, then flattened out. VALDINA LEAF made a determined bid on the outside leaving the backstretch, then weakened under intermittent pressure. MIDNIGHT RIDE was outrun. BRASS MAN assumed the early lead with apparent ease, was under a snug hold to the three-eighths pole, saved ground when challenged and was not persevered with through the stretch. JOCK assumed command after the first quarter, drew clear, was steadied under a snug hold while saving ground, responded to urging when challenged by BLENWEED and outfinished the latter in the final strides. BLENWEED, under a tight hold while improving position, came around the outside of the winner nearing the furlong pole, then made a determined bid under stout handling and just missed. CHUCK showed good speed rounding the first turn and was taken back off the pace, then rallied mildly in the stretch. PATRIOTISM closed ground under intermittent pressure. WAPAN, showing keen early speed, saved ground entering the backstretch, came out with a clear lead, was taken under light restraint to the quarter post, then held on gamely under intermittent pressure. ROMAN ABBOT improved his position steadily while under light restraint, then closed with good energy under strong pressure. CALLMENOW raced evenly to the final furlong, then made a determide bid that wasnt good enough. CHANCE CROSS, outrun for six furlongs, saved ground entering the stretch to make up ground under stout handling. PLANE SPOTTER was never a serious contender. JENKINS tired in the late stages after forcing the pace until deep in the stretch-. ARBOR VITA was through after six furlongs.
