Russell Signs Baird MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 20. E. E. Russell has taken the contract of apprentice R. L. Baird, and this 105-pound rider will do much of the riding for the Russell-trained stable during the 28-day meeting. Baird spent the past four years in the service, after his early riding career was disrupted by his entry into the Armed Forces.
