KARLS BEST was not hurried while racing forwardly, moved into closer contention on the final turn, went to the front between horses and drew clear. CAROLINA BELL lacked early speed, moved up quickly on the outside on the final turn and closed stoutly. DIZZY HEIGHTS was sent to the front after a half mile, but was used up racing with the winner and weakened. QUEEN ISLAM, very slow to settle in stride, finished with a rush. PAINTER was never dangerous. DOUBLE BOURBON had early speed to set the pace, but quit badly ...
