Preakness, Metropolitan Will Be on Air Today Racing fans who do not wish to foresake their radios today, will have a busy afternoon. The National Broadcasting Company will offer a Preakness preview from 12:15 to 12:30 p. m.. Central Daylight Time, with Bill Stern officiating. The same system will air the Preakness running from 4:00 to 4:30 p. m.. Central Daylight Time, with Clem McCarthy describing the race and Bill Stern and Bob Sheldon doing the color work. Nationals Chicago outlet is WMAQ. Belmont Parks feature, the Metropolitan Handicap, will be broadcast by both the Mutual and American systems from 3:30 to 4:00 p. m. CDT. Bryan Field will be at the "mike" for Mutual Chicago outlet WGN , and Jack McCarthy and Shirley Wolff will take care of the chores for American Chicago outlet WENR.
