Schoultz Riding for Hooper HAWTHORNE, Cicero, 111., May 9.— Apprentice Joe Schoultz, who rode his first winner April 10 at Gulf stream Park and followed up that success with six winners at that meeting, will be on hand to ride on opening day at Hawthorne next Monday. Schoultz is under contract to Fred W. Hooper, who will send 28 horses to Hawthorne in charge of trainer Ivan Parke. Parke, who recently returned from a buying trip to Chile, and himself a former topnotch ridei, is supervising the saddle education of Schoultz. Agent George Lisco will make the riding engagements for Schoultz and the veteran jockey George South, who will also be here for the opening at Hawthorne.
