KINGS GLORY was hustled into a clear lead at once, was steadied in front while saving ground, but had to be kept under stiff pressure as she appeared to want to loaf. SKIP LEVEL lacked speed to match the early leaders, but moved with a rush through the stretch and just failed to get up. DISPATCH raced forwardly from the beginning in a good effort. CLUB CAR was well placed from the start and finished gamely. KING MALCOLM finished stoutly after racing prominently all the way. BEAN POT closed some ground from a slow beginning. DUSTY ZAC had speed to force the pace to the stretch, then quit suddenly. BUD WEST was never prominent and pulled up lame. LEANORD G. lacked early speed, Improved his position gradually, was taken to the outside for the drive and, finishing fast, was up in the late stages. CAST OFF was sent to the front at once and, steadied there, drew clear on the final turn while saving ground and just failed to last. PORT MARS was a forward factor from the beginning and held on well. DUOLC was under pressure to maintain a forward position on the outside and made a stout bid on the stretch turn, but weakened. STE. FRANCES was unable to engage the leaders while saving ground. EXTREMUS quit. SONNY HAYNES was never prominent. MAJOR V. could not threaten. LITTLE GEROMO raced AUNT DRUM into submission to take command in the backstretch and drew clear, but had to be sharply roused to hold HAPPY DOE safe. The latter, never far back, made a determined bid through the stretch, but was not good enough. SMART FOX, never far back, finished gamely. SWEET SALLY could not engage the leaders, but finished well. HAY VOY could never enter serious contention. AUNT DRUM was used up early. JAN-ROD could not keep up. EL NEGRO was not hurried while racing within reach of the leaders, secured room on the inside on the final turn to take command, but had to be hard ridden to hold SKYWAVE. The latter, in a contending position from the beginning, moved in between horses for the drive and just failed to get up. GOLD CALL, prominently placed from the beginning, was sent around on the outside entering the stretch and closed stoutly. STAR LADY finished with a rush from a slow beginning. BETTY VAN was outrun to the far turn, then finished fastest, but hung. COWLAN had good speed to set the early pace, but flattened out. LITTLE SNAIL could not engage the leaders. BLUE MOUNTAIN had speed to force the pace from the beginning, was sent around the outside entering the stretch and was up under urging. BUILDER lacked speed to match the early leaders, moved around the outside for the drive and, after finishing fast, was wearing down the winner. WHOSYOURGAL was hustled into a clear lead, saved ground and held on well. DORAS SON raced forwardly, but was forced to lose some ground on the outside. STATIC CHASER raced evenly, but could not engage the leaders. HURI HOM HARI could not threaten. BROWN DAME fell back steadily. The boy on BRONZE MEDAL lost his stirrup irons right after the start and the latter was pulled up. LIGHT REIGH was permitted to settle in stride, improved his running position gradually, disposed of TANGOWER LEE handily to draw clear, but was roused in the final sixteenth to make the issue safe. IMPENETRABLE, slow as usual early, improved his position gradually on the inside in the backstretch, moved through on the inside on the stretch turn while bearing in and closed stoutly. TANGOWER LEE took command after six furlongs and was steadied in front, but weakened at the end. GRAND RUSH lacked early speed, then came on stoutly in the final stages. STARGOO could not keep up.
